The Framework

FIBERS of Life™

Six Fibers. One Life.

FIBERS of Life™ — six fibers twisting into one rope
Six Fibers · One Life

Interwoven strands, not separate silos

A life is woven, not stacked. Finances pull on relationships; health pulls on emotions; what you believe pulls on every decision you make. FIBERS of Life™ names the six strands so you can see the whole rope.

God's Word is the foundation. The framework is not a replacement for Scripture, prayer, pastoral counsel or professional guidance; it is a practical way to steward the one life you have been given.

Core ideas

Words you will hear on the show

Joe's own definitions, in his words. These ideas run through every episode and every tool.

Margin

Margin is the capacity created when someone develops resources, strength, relationships, or capabilities beyond their baseline needs.

Deficit Drain™

A deficit in one fiber can negatively affect other fibers, creating additional deficits that eventually intensify the original problem.

Margin Multiplier™

Creating margin in one fiber can produce positive effects in other fibers.

Excess Trap™

Abundance is not inherently negative. However, excessive pursuit or misuse of wealth, success, knowledge, comfort, power, or other resources can produce pride, selfishness, harmful dependency, or the neglect of other responsibilities.

Transformative Deficit™

A Transformative Deficit occurs when someone's own behaviors or decisions unintentionally create a deficit that eventually reaches a breaking point. The pain of remaining unchanged becomes greater than the perceived pain of changing.

Life Ingredients vs. Death Ingredients

Life Ingredients include biblical truth, accurate beliefs, sound reasoning, and real-world evidence that supports responsible decision-making. Death Ingredients include lies, distortions, destructive assumptions, and false beliefs.

Pursuit of Truth

Truth withstands scrutiny. The pursuit, discovery, and application of truth are more valuable than affirmation or agreement.
