The story

Business is a form of stewardship

Joe Watkins is an entrepreneur, investor and business coach whose work is shaped by decades of hands-on leadership, disciplined execution and a deeply held belief that business is a form of stewardship.

In his early twenties, Joe co-founded and scaled a service business that led to a pivotal relationship with Chick-fil-A. Recognized as a leader with potential, he was encouraged to pursue the Owner/Operator path, and at 26 he was selected to operate his own Chick-fil-A restaurant. Six formative years of leading teams and developing people in a values-driven culture gave him a deep respect for systems, accountability, financial discipline and faith-informed leadership.

In 2007 Joe moved into real estate and built the first online turnkey rental property company in the United States. In five years his team renovated and leased more than 500 homes for investors nationwide, then expanded into full-scale property management. The company grew to more than 25 employees and over 1,600 managed homes. In 2021, Joe completed a major liquidity event with a private equity firm.

Today Joe owns and operates rental properties, invests in real estate, and works directly with business owners through coaching and consulting. His conviction is simple: financial success without personal alignment is fragile, and growth without margin is unsustainable.

Joe's faith is central to how he leads and coaches. He believes business owners are stewards of time, capital, people and influence. That belief led to his framework, the FIBERS of Life and Business™, which brings six dimensions together into one practical model for sustainable success: Financial, Intellectual, Biological, Emotional, Relational and Spiritual. The podcast carries that coaching beyond one-on-one work.

Outside of business, Joe enjoys traveling, riding motorcycles across the U.S., playing competitive golf, and singing and playing guitar in churches around the world. Most of all, he prioritizes time with family and close friends.

The studio

Built from the ground up

Before this room had a microphone it did not even have drywall: just rafters, spray foam and an idea. Joe built the FIBERS™ studio from the attic up, and his dad is a welcome part of the story you will hear on the show.

Season 2 is the first season recorded here.
